It really depends on the type of photoshoot. If you’re doing a heavy photoshoot like an engagement, family portraits, or band photos with multiple people, you should expect to receive at least 100–150 photos. With single-person photoshoots and normal couples shoots, you should expect around 50–75 photos.

A place I always suggest is Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado. Not only is it a great place for live music, but the rocks add great color, texture, and diversity in your photos. Other places I suggest are photo-friendly art museums and botanic gardens (with reasonable admission fees), city scapes, arts districts, mountain towns such as Boulder and Estes Park, public parks with lots of plants. Homes are also great places to have photoshoots. This can be a collaborative decision between you and I.

To be fully prepared for the photoshoot you desire, I would recommend planning out your outfits ahead of time and even bringing more than one outfit to the photoshoot to change out of. We also have to think about the weather, so make sure to bring layers just in case it starts to get cold or windy. Colorado brings an uncertainty to each day; you never know what to expect. Outfits and props give your photoshoot character — be deliberate.
